Motte is the man right now. Perez hasn't pitched in like 2 weeks and he wasn't the front runner when he was pitching.

Does anyone know how bad Hoffman's injury is? Last I heard he's missing the first week of the season...
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Brandon Morrow pitched an inning in relief Tuesday and gave up a run versus the Dodgers.
Casey Blake homered off him. That Morrow was limited to just one inning doesn't bode well at all for his chances of opening the season in the rotation. He was making his first appearance since being shut down with forearm soreness.

I hear Nunez will be the opening day closer for the Marlins. Any chance he could hold on to the job?

Interesting article on Aardsma's history as a closer at Rice and how he is poised to try to nail down the title as closer this year.

How are people treating Oakland closer situation in their drafts? My first draft saw Devine drafted and Ziegler is still out there. This situation doesn't seem to be clear-cut at all, and it hasn't been discussed in the thread for awhile now. Looks like Garen refuses to name a closer so I guess my take is that both have to be owned heading into the season.

I believe Devine is nursing a sore elbow which I believe is the reason for the delay in naming a closer as it would be Devine if healthy. Those adding Ziegler need to understand that his devliery is all that really makes him effective and teams started to get used to him and key off it towards the end of last season. Devine is likely their best arm in the pen when healthy and Casilla (out of options) would likely be next in line though Ziegler might get intial duties over Casilla if Devine is proven unhealthy.
