In an effort to revive the thread: Who are the backups for some of the popular trade targets, Bell and Capps?

Grabow in Pitt I know was discussed... might be worth a speculative pickup, but anyone worth looking at in SD?

Sorry if its been covered, theres too much manure in this thread for me to bother wading back more than a couple pages full of BJ Ryan jokes.

Is Bell a trade target? I wouldn't think SD would move him unless they were floored with an offer. His backup would probably be Mujica.

What are all the Gonzalez owners doing right now? You guys think he's safe to drop at this point? His situation just seems to get worse and he's not really doing much to help his cause.

I have Gonzalez still but my league counts holds. I am thinking of dropping Frasor for Grabow since I need a closer help and I am reading Capps could be out of PIT soon.

Broxton likely will skip the All-Star Game on Tuesday because of an ailing big toe on his right foot, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation: Broxton, who was limping after giving up two runs in Friday's game, is feeling pain on the side of the foot when he plants to throw. He will still go to the All-Star Game, but he won't play. Broxton has given up five runs and four walks in his last two outings. Hopefully the toe is culprit and once that heals he'll be OK.

MLB.com reports that Dodgers manager Guillermo Mota will replace Jonathan Broxton as the team's closer while Broxton deals with a toe injury. Mota will be the team's fill-in for the final two games before the All-Star break at Milwaukee.
