That was only his second blown save, so he's probably pretty safe for now. He was pretty bad though. 4er no outs. Mark Lowe has been the primary man.

so braves are starting to use soriano more than gonzo to close eh? is this an intentional move or just coincidence that lefty matchups have been coming up more in the 8th lately?

3 of the 4 batters Gonzalez faced today were righties. Seems the worst is here for Gonzalez owners

oh ok so it isn't even matchups. and soriano has been pretty good as of late so i'm not surprised.

i have gonzo on 2 teams. luckily, i thought this would happen and also handcuffed with soriano on both teams.

I"m going to be the weakling here and say it dpends. This certainly isn't anything like a Lidge situations, where he was going to get the role back immediately after coming back fom the DL. But if the Marlins keep having to switch closers around, or if Nunez/Meyer split the role for the next month or so, then I'd say Lindstrom gets his job back.. They've also signed Ayala and Donnelly, so I'd say that almost anybody on the club right now could end up being the Marlins closer in September, including Lindstrom...

Not until/if a few are blown in the meantime. If there are a few blown saves in a row, I bet he gets a shot. Kinda like the Ryan Franklin situation, though the chances of it working out the same are probably about 1%
