also the low hit rate is probably helped by the .248 BABIP, though i will admit that is probably helped by his huge GB rate.

Ehh....it's been working great for them with how he's been handling it.
There's less pressure without naming a "guy", and it keeps both players hungry.

Meyer with the Save. Clean inning, 1 strikeout.

Oddly, he faced 3 right handed hitters (none of them pinch hitters), and Leo Nunez hadn't pitched since July 1st, so it's not like it was an over use thing.

My bad, he actually started off the inning facing a lefty (G.Jones), and then faced 2 righties.
Either way I'd say it's a full on closer by committee situation.

Well if 2 pitchers is a committee, a term that to me anyway implies at least 3 or 4. It seems only Nunez and Meyer are getting saves in a situation something like with the Braves.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/committee

A committee is a group of people (i.e. Meyer and Nunez) appointed to perform a specified service or function. You are right, it sounds identical to the Gonzalez/Soriano committe that has worked out great for the Braves this year.

The Atlanta situation was mentioned a few pages back, and then shot down by Closer Nostradamus :-D

Anyone think Lindstrom may be of value come August and September?
I've read that he's ahead of schedule and throwing on flat ground pain free.

...May have been discussed, but I'm not willing to sift through 300+ pages. Who takes over for Sherrill if/when traded?

Johnson or Baez or someone else....? Thoughts?
