Is Soriano the man now? Gonzalez pitched the 8th against 8 (righty) -9 (pitcher) -1 (lefty) in the 8th, with Nick Johnson and Dunn (lefties) batting 2 and 4.
Or was this possibly going to be a 2 inning save attempt?

Same thing happened yesterday. In fact, Gonzo faced 3 RH'ers and Soriano came on in the 9th to face Dunn among others. It looks to me that a switch has been made. Gonzo used to only come on in the 8th if facing tough LH'ers, but this isn't happening anymore.
Personally I think Cox should stop all this juggling around and just make a decision. Sori wasn't very good yesterday and Gonzo was terrible today. Relievers always seem to perform better when they know their roles.

You'll want no part of the next-in-line behind Macdougal.
MacDougal has been solid lately. Only 2 ER last 17 appearances I believe.
15.1 IP, 10 BB, 7 Ks and he looked terrible today. not exactly what i would call solid.
I think you are counting his time with the White Sox, which was pretty brutal. His stats since brought up by WAS aren't that bad. Yes he's still walking too many but he isn't given up a ton of hits. I'm sure he's been lucky to have only given up 2 ER, but overall, he's been serviceable. You are right though. Perhaps "solid" was a bit much.

i'm not counting time with the white sox
adding those stats in it becomes: 19.2 IP, 15 BB, 10 Ks
