nunez may have been the favorite, and may still be, but meyer was impressive and we know the marlins like sticking with the guy that is currently closing, so he has a decent chance to get the next save opp.

I still think Nunez is the guy, but Meyer should be. He's simply been the better pitcher all year. I missed out on Nunez so I took a flier on Meyer. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
Oh boy, here we go, this should get some talk going. Draw the Nunez-Meyer battlelines. In my two leagues I guess I'm hedging and going with Nunez in one and Meyer in the other.

i've got both as well. i am not at all sure who is going to get the call though. i would have said 95% nunez if he was healthy and got the first save opp. but the closer job is the weirdest thing in baseball, and one impressive save can mean a lot. i'd say nunez is the slight favorite at this point.
It wasn't exactly a match-up save either, it was R/L/Sw.
Meyer has been excellent against RHB this year (0.65 WHIP with 16 Ks from 17 IP), so it wouldn't be a total shock if he got the nod. He is a kee-razy flyballer though, so maybe think of him like a left-handed Wheeler.
