One thing I did not anticipate is Wood being healthy but ineffective in Cleveland. I'm assuming he's healthy of course.

IMO he would have lost the job already except everyone else in Cleveland has been even worse or at least just as bad. Jensen Lewis has stunk, Rafael Perez has been terrible, and those two were the top setup guys at the start of the season. Vizcaino is walking almost a batter an inning.I don't see anyone else that can take over unless they have an arm in the minors, or move over a starter (Ohka?).

In a weird way his job appears safe which makes no sense, but Cleveland's bullpen has melted down. Maybe they make a move for a closer. !+)

How many times do we have to tell you people, "Howell's not the closer, TB is a committee, Maddon plays matchups, etc. ad nauseam."

Tell us again because I think he's the guy. B-)

Before these last 2 games, Wood had 11 consecutive scoreless appearances. He's been far from great, but not really all that bad.

I'm kinda wondering if he'll be traded if/when the Indians become sellers. Contract would be tough to move.

FWIW, Accardo just left the game with what looked like a groin injury. Looks like a DL stint is coming.

Will Carroll is friends with Jenn Sterger, he's more than just pretty cool. :-D

LOL Yes you are right. I can't believe you knew that, how did you know that? He was telling all the guys in the league that if we shelled out maybe an extra $10 each $130 total that he may have been able to get her to come to our draft. Most the guys didn't feel like shelling out extra money since we're already paying $150 each and she would probably have been a bitch.

You guys should have your man cards revoked. I would have fronted all the money myself. I don't care if she wore a burka the entire time.

LOL. Absolutely. An extra $10 for Jenn Sterger to attend my fantasy baseball draft is a no-brainer. :-L

Will's friendship with Jenn is well documented. :-D
I think I found out about them when Will went to the Winter meetings and took some pics there. I was checking out the pics and went a little further back on his flickr album and...holy crap...that's the FSU girl. :-D

This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread... :-b

You're funny kimchi, thanks for the laughs. And whoever told me my mancard should be revoked that was pretty funny. I would've been down for it but since my wife was with me at the draft I think I may have lost all my cards had she been there. !+)

so chris ray gets called back up from AAA, i'm guessing if he performs okay they'll be more inclined to trade sherrill and could move ray ahead of jim johnson and be next in line.
