The closer page has Perez listed as

relieved...
After reading about Motte I am not relieved. What does everyone think about this situation? Who should wind up with the closers gig to star the season?

I think the change in coaching going from Houston to Arizona has helped him a lot.
On the surface it looks like the Houston coaches were bad for Wheeler, Qualls and Lidge as all 3 have improved after leaving Houston.

Well, Wheeler proved once again that he wasn't a closer in TB last year too. (enter Grant Balfour)

How many BS are we talking about? 3? 4? Not sure the exact timing of his role in 07 but he only blew
5 saves total.His numbers the last two years are as good as most 2nd tier closers but why let facts get in the way?
