Any speculation on Kerry Wood? 2 consecutive blown saves and has been far from great

Jonathan Papelbon followed up his comments about being willing to sign with the Yankees with some additional comments that should placate fans in Boston.
"I don't want to go (expletive) play for the Yankees," he said. "I've been on a team for the past five years that's been in first place more than any other (expletive) team otherwise. Why would I want to leave?" Papelbon had previously left open the possibility of playing in the Bronx when his contract was up, basically saying (if you read the quote) that he could end up anywhere depending on who busted out their wallets.

You stay classy, Palpelbon.

Way to contribute to the thread there.

How many times do we have to tell you people, "Howell's not the closer, TB is a committee, Maddon plays matchups, etc. ad nauseam."

I think you have to be a subscriber to actually read the article.

Will Carrol is the auctioneer at my big money roto league, he's pretty cool

Will Carroll is friends with Jenn Sterger, he's more than just pretty cool. :-D

LOL Yes you are right. I can't believe you knew that, how did you know that? He was telling all the guys in the league that if we shelled out maybe an extra $10 each $130 total that he may have been able to get her to come to our draft. Most the guys didn't feel like shelling out extra money since we're already paying $150 each and she would probably have been a bitch.

You guys should have your man cards revoked. I would have fronted all the money myself. I don't care if she wore a burka the entire time.

howell is the one and only closer. there is no doubt at this point. someone may get an occasional save here and there, but howell is a top 20 closer easily at this point.
