Halladay usually goes 8 innings anyway...not a huge chance of a blowup when you are handing it off to your best reliever (who now will be changed from Downs to Frasor ). We'll find out more about Doc after his bullpen session this afternoon. If he feels good, he'll start Saturday. If he doesn't, he'll probably go on the DL.
He has gotten atleast one out in the 7th only 6/13 games (ignoring that last game). His high inning total is as much the result of going 7 innings every freakin start. Regardless, the difference between the best pitcher being Frasor or Downs is big so I don't think I was wrong to say they better not cost him wins. When should the Halladay bullpen session info be out and when should we hear more about Downs by?

Yep, he's finally coming back to the major league level. They might actually need to start using him in a setup role the way things have been going, too. Well it's either him or Dirk Hayhurst.
The post above you said the job is unsurprisingly Frasor's, though.

Being a Jays fan and a Downs owner I have been following this closely. So, on CBS it stated Frasor would be the closer so I put a bid in for him. Later on just before the start of the game, the crew on Sportsnet said that there hasn't been anyone named the closer. Then they said they just got an update that Accardo was on his way to Philli. Again, this is more speculation than anything on my part, sorry. Accardo is likely to be used in the setup role like you said.
according to mlb.com, downs' x-ray was negative, but the MRI revealed a sprained big toe. It states that Gaston said that frasor will be used as closer to fill in

Somebody quick put Accardo and Gaston's faces over Cage and Shue.
Frasor will be a good fill-in until Downs gets back.
