Lidge looking horrible once again. Madson time??
Roto
Lidge still has a tight leash on ninth-inning duties, but he's not making his fantasy owners too happy. He's now working with a 7.71 ERA.

Look for Lidge to be DLed. Just a hunch, I have no info. But his knee's been barking all year.

Any chance Soriano takes over in Atl? Gonzo just got one out then gave up a run and was pulled from the game in the 9th after loading the bases. Soriano then comes in and closes the game.

I realize this is page 240 of this thread. However, IMO it shouldn't be too much to expect people to to back ONE or TWO pages to see answers to their questions posed just hours ago.

no offense, but the posts 2 pages ago were made prior to Gonzo being pulled out of the 9th inning in favor of Soriano because of poor performance. I would think the closer situation in Atl could be a bit more cloudy after today's game.

FYI on Tampa

Wheeler is in for the 8th inning and Howell and Balfour have already been used. That leaves Nelson or Izzy for the 9th in a save situtation

So J.P. Howell is eliminated from the closer picture for now...I think thats safe to say.

Updated: While up 6-3, Izzy was warming up in the pen.

Isringhausen is the new TB closer for now. Must-add if not already owned.

Howell will never be the closer throwing curveballs and 86 mph fastballs IMO

According to Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post, Francisco Rodriguez is out indefinitely due to lower back spasms.

Also Lindstrom gave up 3+ runs and only got one out came in in a non save sit but was down by 1 he's been pitching good lately but who would be next? Nunez?

Maybe not the long-term solution but if there are a few lefties due up in the 9th I could see it happening.
