It was a save opp. He came in with a 1 run lead with runners on first and third. It doesn't matter what inning it was as long as he gave up the lead while pitching and he's not the SP. The run scored on a routine ground ball out. It wasn't his ER but it was scored while he was pitching and that's what matters. However, he certainly can't be faulted for it and it will in no way hurt his chances of continuing as interim closer.
I needed a win more, anyway.

I play with net saves, so that blown save cost me 2 points in roto

that stinks, but worth a blown save to get a win, right?
Nope. I'm second in wins.
but so this post isn;t totally game commentary and the like, any news on Soria? I read that they doubt he'll be back by Friday. Anyone hear about this?

No and so it's very apparent he is no longer the closer in Tampa. Grab Wheeler quickly if he's available in your league. I personally think he's the guy now but wasn't used today as he's gone 3 of the past 4 days.
I'm not saying Wheeler isn't a good pickup (probably should be owned already), but I think it's a bit drastic to say that it's very apparent Percival is no longer the closer in Tampa. He hadn't gotten any work for a week, so Maddon decided to give him an inning on the 13th. Maddon also stated he didn't want Percival going a week between appearances, so he gave him another inning on the 15th. After working twice in 3 days, he got a day off yesterday, which explains why the save went to someone else.
Edit: Just saw that Percy got the nod in a Save situation today. Pitched a solid inning, striking out two. Nothing has changed in TB yet. However, we've all seen how Maddon is not against using different guys in the 9th, so who knows what's to come.

percy didn't get the call the other night because maddon said they were facing left handers there which percival is horrible against. percy will still get the call unless the 9th inning lineup he faces is predominantly left handed.
I know Maddon said that, but I really don't think Percival was going to be used 3 out of 4 days regardless of who the hitters were going to be. It will be interesting to see what happens the next time there are a couple of lefties due up.
