The dude makes a smart comment every time the word Downs, Down or Up is mentioned. I can take it but apparently I am not allowed to give anything back. And I'll say it one last time, I never said it wasn't Downs, just that his reasons for calling it Downs were weak (including incorrect stats). Like I said, get a life and maybe he will have something more important to be so proud about.
Glad you've let this go.

Honestly WTF!!!!!!! I tried to end it with him and he couldn't handle that and is still making smart comments. It is a committee in Baltimore and Corpas is worthless IMO compared to Ray or even Johnson at this point. Committee usually = someone stepping it up and taking over.
The O's manager has already said Baez is not going to be a part of the committee...here is one good bit of useful advice: TRUST NOTHING ESPN SAYS WHEN IT COMES TO FANTASY BASEBALL!
Baez - no chance immediately as already stated by others Wuertz - possibly fill-in for awhile but team has stated Bailey will fit in to the closer role if he keeps pitching like he has Beimel - possibly, but the Nats have also said they expect to work Hanrahan back into the 9th. Gregg - Who knows what Lou will do Zumaya - agree likely by end of season and likely much sooner IMO.
If Rodney continues to keep his BBs down, I don't see him losing the closing job. The only time he's gotten himself in a little trouble has been in non-save situations. I believe he made some pitching adjustments in spring training which allowed him to improve his control...

this...and his shoulder being healthy
one thing to note though, is Rodney is a FA after this year, so it's possible he could be dealt at some point...even then i'm not positive Zumaya gets the closers job though

Of course if Rodney keeps pitching well like he has, Leyland should be content to just keep him in there. But Rodney is not a 7/1 K/BB guy. This should revert to normal, and when it does we'll see whether he keeps his job. There's every chance that he will.
