And then on top of that you can't even get your math right and you're not even close.

28 + 9 = 37 total ops........ 28 / 37 * 100 = 76% SV ...... 100 - 76 = 24% BS ..... you're off by 8%
25 + 9 = 34 total ops........ 25 / 34 * 100 = 74% SV ...... 100 - 74 = 26% BS ..... you're off by a whopping 10%

You failed to get simple percentage math calculations correct. That is a fact no one can refute. Given that, I guess I can't expect you to understand more complex statistical analysis.

28/37 * 100= 7600% (more accurately 7568%) not 76%. Take out the % or the * 100.

I sorry to say this, but your math is wrong too. I'll explain:

28 / 37 = 0.756756 (where the 756 repeats infinitely)
0.756756 * 100 = 76 (rounded off of course)

therefore when combined .... 28 /37 * 100 = 76 (rounded off)
based on normal rules of mathematical operand order of application the division is done before the multiplication, so what I said is correct.
the "%" represents the word "percent", after all it was a percentage calculation. that is 76% = 76 percent.

Look the guy trashed me while getting basic percentage calculations wrong, just like the dude above. I tried to be as politically correct as possible. I'm sorry if someone's feelings got hurt because I corrected their math, but correcting their mistakes will help them avoid those mistakes in the future. BTW I can't believe you're defending the guy who was wrong and also trashing me for trying to do the right thing and help him with his math.

I'm sorry, for those complaining about this thread getting out of control, but I never thought I'd actually have to be defending myself for helping someone correct their mistakes. I'll let the matter rest now even if they decide to trash me some more for trying to help them.

Aardsma got the loss in his first appearance after Morrow placed on the DL. I know it wasn't a save spot, but do we think Aardsma is pretty safe as the closer with Morrow out, or is he only a game or 2 away from losing the job?
