Before anyone comes and asks, Macha didn't want to pitch Hoffman 3 games in a row yet, especially since it was a late game last night and an early game today. That is why he wasn't brought in for the save today.

Nationals acquired RHP Logan Kensing from the Marlins for minor league RHP Kyle Gunderson.
Considering their bullpen woes, the Nationals might as well take a shot on the hard-throwing Kensing, who had an unsightly 9.82 ERA and 2.59 WHIP in 7 1/3 innings for the Marlins this season. The Washington Post reports that Kensing will be in uniform for Wednesday night's game, and there's certainly an opportunity for him to work his way into a setup role if he pitches well. Gunderson, a 2007 48th-round pick, will report to the Marlins' Single-A affiliate in Jupiter.
