I'm guessing it will be DiFelice who will get the next crack.

This one is for Nats fans...

Hanrahan has now given up at least one run in 3 of his 5 appearances...2 consecutive blown saves...Today he blew a 3 run lead vs the Marlins...Who's next in line in Washington? I just dont see his this guy being able to see the ball in the 9th all year long...

Is there a clear choice as to who is next in line for Washington?

Hanny got lit up again today....

What do you guys think about Andrew Bailey? This article touts him as a future closer: http://www.rotorebel.com/2009/04/radar- ... ailey.html.

Everything I've ever read on him say he's too young and his command issues limit his projectability because of his wildness. Someone to watch though.

This is like picking a beauty contest between two ugly sisters. I think Beimel would be next just based on how he's pitched so far.

Neither guy is a closer material long term however. I would not call either a power pitcher, and both BB way too many.

ANy other thoughts on this. I think Hanrahan's days are numbered.

On the Nats, I like Garret Mock to do it eventually, but he's in the minors. Probably a committee if Hanrahan can't go. I think Acta's progressive enough to play matchups until someone steps up.

Re: Milw closer and Villy pitching in the 7th, I think he is out as interim as well. However, I think it is Coffey who gets the call, not DiFelice. Coffey has not allowed a run since he was added to the Brewers roster last year. Macha has been using him consistently in the high leverage situations. Additionally, he was a closer for Cincy for about 3 weeks, so he has some experience.

That's just my gut feeling, not anything I have read.

Steve-
Thanks for the input bud. He was very impressive in last night's game. He could get the ball next.
