I think they need this first win at Wrigley, and they're going with the safest choice.

1-2-3 inning, 2 Ks

What do you think it means? :-D

I also don't think Perez or Motte were options today.
Perez threw 2 innings yesterday, and Motte threw 1.2 innings on Tuesday, and an inning yesterday.
Either way for now it looks like Franklin's job to lose.

Franklin was also intended to get the Lohse CG

it was solid for me after 2 intended save ops Sunday and Monday

its even moreso now

here's another source. All the way at the bottom, 2nd to last line. Valverde's injury sounds minor..

I am not sure however if Hawkins will get the save opp tomorrow. He has pitched back to back days of I believe 18 and 16 pitches. He may not get the 3rd day in a row nod. I picked up Hawkins, but also Tim Byrdak because I am desperately chasing saves. Byrdak may get the save opp tomorrow. After tomorrow I'll drop Byrdak if Hawkins doesn't pitch.
