Well, I think he's safe with the current ensemble of relievers they have. Now, if they trade, sign, or move someone then I'll change it. But I think he's better than Motte and Franklin by a large margin imo.
Chris Ray has been going very late in mocks. Watch his health during ST for another cheap O's closer. Chris Perez and Hanrahan could be a couple late round steals as well.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Agreed, and I'm glad to see that you have Franklin over Motte. I see sites listing Motte as a darkhorse, but he has one pitch right now, a straight fastball (ableit at 100 mph). Unless he has a strong ST, Motte will likely start the year in the minors.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
Has the idea of Carpenter closing for St Louis gone away? I suppose it was about a month ago that the idea was mentioned, but I haven't followed the situation closely.

As of right now, Carpenter is slated to do starter conditioning in ST.
