bobby abreu now an ANGEL.. an absolute steal this year??

He just signed with the angels for 1 year. He should be hitting before or after Vlad. Yahoo ranks him at 94 which is late 7th/early 8th round. The guy is a lock for 100 rbi 100 runs 16-20 hr and 20-25 steals while hitting 295-300. An absolute steal if you can get him then. I might reach for him in the 6th.

I don't have a problem taking him in the Ellsbury/Victorino sixth round area of outfielders, especially now that's he's signed in LAA. I don't think a player with his skills would instantly deteriorate leaving NYY and now they assuredly will not.

By the way, R&C's MDP list has him at 64, so to actually reach for him, you'd probably have to draft him in the 5th round of a 12 team league. Unless people are only using Yahoo's rankings of course.

If I remember correctly, Yahoo does update their pre-season rankings occasionally so Abreu may soon move up now that he has a team.

It is a good value for the Angels, but really...another OF. Their offseason moves will translate to nothing more than an AL West pennant and another early exit from the playoffs.

i'm perfectly happy taking abreu in the 5th-6th round. i'd rather have him than someone like hart.
