New CBS Head to Head $100 League

Postby shermanpar » Wed Feb 11, 2009 1:59 pm

Hey everyone. I just started a new league on CBS. Because I got to create the league for free (because I participated in a mock draft and haven't ever been a commisioner on there before or something), it's only for this year and has to be a re-draft league. It's a Head-to-Head Points league, meaning the most points each week gets the W, no winning of categories or anything like that. It's a mixed AL/NL player pool with 12 teams, 3 divisions. The winners of each division and the wild card will make the playoffs. It's going to be $100 for your team, but since I got the league for free, we don't have to use any of the money to pay for the commisioner software, so all the money can be used for payouts. I'm thinking somwhere along the lines of $700 to first place, $300 for second, $100 for third, and $100 for most points scored in the regular season, but we can take a vote and figure the payouts out based on what everyone wants to do. Positions requirements are going to be C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, U as a starting lineup for hitters, and 7 Pitchers, Starters or Relievers, it's up to you. There will also be 1 DL spot that won't count towards your lineup as long as they are still on the DL. As for scoring, it's kind of a combination of last years and this year's default H2H scoring on CBS. For batters, Singles: 1, Doubles: 2, Triples: 3, HR: 4, Walk: 1, HBP: 1, Run: 1, RBI: 1, SB: 2, Strikeout: -0.5, and CS: -1. For Pitchers, Win: 7, Save: 7, Inning Pitched: 3, Shutout: 5, Strikeout: 1, Loss: -5, Blown Save: -2, Earned Run: -1, Hit: -0.5, and Walk: -0.5. None of these rules or settings are set in stone, we could see what everyone collectively wanted to do before I collect fees and have the draft. As far as how we're handling the money, I can promise everyone that if you send me your money I will not steal it and would be willing to send you any sort of evidence you would want to prove it, but I know that's still hard to believe for some people so any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. It should be very fun and competitive. If you are interested or have any questions email me at woodrowwilson918@yahoo.com.
