Baseball newbie, did a mock, how'd it go? WHIR

Postby bspel55 » Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:19 am

I can say for a fact I would be making a move to pick up pitching were this league real. I realized about round 6 that I was doomed at that spot.

Anyway here's the damage: (Standard Yahoo scoring by the way)

C- Russell Martin
1B- Ryan Howard
2B- Brian Roberts
3B- David Wright
SS- Michael Young
OF- Ichiro, Bobby Abreu, Jay Bruce
BN- Raul Ibanez (OF), Mike Aviles (SS),

SP- Beckett, Harden
RP- Jenks, Trevor Hoffman
P- Ben Sheets, Brian Wilson (RP), Kevin Slowey
BN- Gallardo, Johnathan Sanchez, Andy Pettite, Chan-ho Park (last pick, threw it away)

Thanks for the help, leave a link if you need help!

Great balance in your offense. Obviously you have to send Sheets to the DL and I would Gallardo in his spot. Pay attention to the ww for another pitcher. I would dump Chan Ho Park for that picther. Otherwise great job.

Drop Pettitte and pick up Manny Parra or Johnny Cueto (one of them must be available right?) and you have a very good team.

I'd drop Pettite as well, Sheets would go to the DL (like it's been said already) and I would probably even ask around if anyone's interested in Howard. Not a big fan of Howard and his ERA. Aside from that, good job on team :D

might as well drop sheets...if he does pitch this year it will be a downhill battle
