I just glanced at SI's website and it appears their latest swimsuit issue is coming out soon. This led me to think... who cares? It's supposed to be this big deal, this cheesecake-fest that titillates and entices us in the long winter doldrums. But what makes it so special? Why the hoopla?
Then I got to thinking - isn't the average Victoria's Secret catalog more "enticing" than the SI Swimsuit Issue? For cheesecake factor, how is the SI issue any more "daring" or more of a "big deal" than an average catalog?
I'm assuming that by "cheesecake" you don't mean, you know, cheesecake. But I've never heard that used as a euphemism. Does "cheesecake" refer to something specific, or is it just a general term for slightly-more-than PG13 content?

Cheesecake is (real) old school for pin-up pictures.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
