I made a trade for a SS thats still pending. I also proposed a trade for better SS, and I give up one of the same guys as the other trade. The guy I proposed the 2nd trade to really wants a certain player who I would give him, so i told him to accept and then I would try to get the first trade vetoed. Is that ethical, or extremely cheap?

Does pending mean accepted by the other owner and only waiting league approval? If so, extremely cheap and maybe illegal. If it hasn't been accepted yet than anything goes.

I have to go with very cheap. I've seen this happen before. Don't lower yourself to this level.

Cheap. When you offer a trade and the opponent accepts, thats a binding contract as far as FBB is concerned.
Best way around this? Go after the better SS first. We're still weeks away from opening day, so its not like there's a big rush. You'll have time to pursue the other player later.

FIY, i decided not to do it. I only was even thinking of doing it because the guy i was fooling was/and is a complete jerk, an idiot. Nonetheless, I will not lower myself to his level

and, surely if you got trade 1 vetoed, that owner would do the same thing to trade#2 anyway!!

I wasnt even sure that the second owner would accept the second trade, so i put in some insurance. I know its a bit early to rush, but whatever.
