Need help keeping 7

Postby Brandaddy » Mon Feb 09, 2009 6:56 pm

well i think i have a pretty good idea of which 7 i should keep but theres a few guys that i would'nt mind having. i'm in a standard 6x6 roto league (ops and hlds) with c,1b,2b,ss,3b,of,of,of,util,util. heres the 7 i think i should keep:
m. teixeira
m. cabrara
i. kinsler
a. rios
n. markakis
j. bay
b. webb
________
a few other guys i'm thinking about

r. oswalt
e. santana
j. bruce
c.b. young
j. upton (definitly a guy i want to have on my team for the future.)

can't really think of a guy i would drop for anyone though? maybe rios for a guy like upton just for the future. i do have the 6th pick because i came in 6th in a 12 team, so there will be some quality out there. hmmm ;-7
I love my Diamondbacks!

I agree with Hootie. Even if Rios is slightly better than Bruce in the short term your other keepers are solid so I would keep the Bruce for the long term.

I would take Bruce over Bay. I am not sold on Bay even in the Boston lineup. I think Rios will put up better numbers than Bay. Rios played real well last year just did not have many HR as most predicted. that could come this year. Bay has been an inconsistent fantasy player his whole career and I think Rios has more upside than Bay.

If you want to win now then keep what you have, but if you want a higher ceiling in the future then keep Bruce over Rios...dont let your feelings for the D-Backs cloud your judgements of Upton. He will develop power but isnt going to run and Bruce is closer to contributing to more fantasy categories...
I think there are only three things America will be known for 2,000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music, and baseball.
