Genie,

I'm afraid I know the answer to this question, but if I've already submitted our off-line draft results and started my league's season, is it too late to tag players as keepers? If so, is it possible to undo the season start?

Actually, the answer is a bit more unfortunate than that. In the current product, you can't use the custom draft order/keeper tool with offline draft leagues. I identified this shortcoming too late for us to spec and fix it. I'd expect it to get fixed at some point in the future, but likely not for baseball this season.

so if i had a plus keeper league from last year that i wanted renew but as a free league, would i lose the URL/league settings?

we'll probably stick with the plus league since everyone mostly would buy stat-tracker anyway and i like looking through the draft kit and getting better draft times etc. at the same time though, i havent gotten enough league fees yet to buy the plus league and im broke so free would be nice... let those other lazy muthas buy stat tracker on their own... ;-)

No problem there. Permanent names/keeper leagues can span across the free and plus games from year to year.

As commish, you can continue to muck with the draft order and kept players up until the draft begins. We didn't like the idea of a manager going in and making his preranks without player X (because the commish had him marked as a keeper), only to have the commish later change things and have that player become available (but not be in that managers preranks). It seemed safer to let the manager rank that player, saying, "If player X is available, he'd be my third choice." Then if he's not available, the world is still sane. If a draft kicks off, clearly all players marked as keepers are already taken in the draft client, and if you filter on available players in the draft client, they do not show.

Hope that made sense.

I can understand that. Is there a way to see the draft client prior to the draft?

Also, if we are keeping 4 players from the each team (non round specific)- 26 round draft would I just set the keepers to rounds 22-26 of the draft?

Question 1: hang in there a few days, and the answer should be yes ;-)

Hey Genie: How many days is a few days? :)

Looks like the answer turned out to be about 6 ;-)

Things are very popular at the moment, but with a bit of diligence you should now be able to take the draft client for a spin. Enjoy...

Am I being too greedy to ask if it could handle a 14 team mock as well?
