Just Drafted: Rate my 10 Manager Keeper Team

Postby ferris182 » Sun Mar 07, 2004 8:22 pm

Hey Guys,

Can you rate my keeper team? I think it looks pretty solid, and I think I have a good mix of power and speed for my hitters, and a good mix of pitchers. Do I have any holes? I would say that I don't have a dominant #1 starter, and my utility slots are question marks, (Relaford and Fullmer). Any suggestions / Comments?

I'd deal Mulder for Santana if it's possible. I'm just not too high on Oakland pitchers this year. They all have average K ratios ~6.5 but now also have weak run support supposedly

I'm not sure if Lofton can give you a lot of playing time.

I like the Juan Gone pick. The guy is ranked 4th among ALL outfielders last year in AB/HR ratio. Hope he's healthy this year.

Overall, that's all the holes I see in your lineup and these are minor holes. Good draft

Should I package up a deal and trade an OF and a closer for a solid OF?

Are there any other holes?

You have saves covered, but the problem is in a 10 team league most everyone else does as well. I think it's gonna be tough to trade one of your closers. I would try to upgrade Lofton, but you may be able to do that on the waiver wire in a 10 team league. I'd actually be starting Crede over Lofton anyway.

Some teams only have 1 or 2 closers, so I'm trying to make a deal with them. About Lofton- I think he's in for a nice year especially if Sheff is out for a while. I think he's good for 100 runs, 300 BA, and 30 SBs, w/ decent power numbers.
