we have to keep eight players, no pitchers or hitters minimum and no rookie considerations either.

I'm leaning towards: Hamels, Lincecum, Lackey, Howard, Holliday, A. Ramirez, Martin and Milledge

I really don't believe in taking closers when you can always find the diamonds in the rough even though I have some nice options in Marmol and Devine. I also want to squeeze McLouth in here but I really think Milledge is primed for a monster season and Nate really dropped off for me in the second half, so I'm still wrestling with those two.

what do you guys think?

I'd go with McLouth over Milledge, but I think the others are a given.

i'd keep milledge over lackey. although if abreu's on the yanks, i'd probably keep him over milledge.
