Obviously have some MAJOR holes here, but also some . I also have the #1 pick in a snake draft. Need to pick up 3 5 year guys, 3 3 year guys and 3 1 year guys in the draft. Best availables include...

C- Wieters, B Molina, Doumit, Ianetta
1B- C Davis, Huff, Delgado
2B- A Ramirez, Polanco
3B- Cantu, Glaus, Reynolds
SS- Escobar, Aviles, Renteria
OF- Ludwick, Ibanez, Damon, Dye, Ordonez, Ethier, Nady
SP- Myers, Greinke, Lowe, Danks, Vazquez
RP- Soria, Wood, Fuentes

Plus a bunch of prospect types.

Have received several offers for packages including the#1 pick.

Lester/#1 for Mauer, DeRosa
B Roberts for #1 / Encarnacion
Cano for #1 and a 3rd rounder

Could also probably get McCann and maybe a low round pick for the #1 and a pitcher (Lester maybe)

Deal or keep the #1 and deal later? Have considered picking Wieters, Soria, C Davis with the #1 pick given need for several multi-year guys. What do you think?

I think that first trade for Mauer and Derosa is very helpfull to you in ur current situation, you would have a great catcher for the next 5 years and never have to worry about it =) even though there is a lot of good talent out there like ramirez, wieters, and C Davis, i dont think u can pass up Mauer

I would keep the #1 pick considering the offers you have.

Is that first trade both #1 and Lester or just one of the two. If it is just one of the two then I would move Lester for Mauer and Derosa. If not than I think I would keep the pick. You can always trade after the draft to fill holes. Wieters would be nice to lock up but there are some nice OF in that group. If you don't take Wieters I would look at trading that #1 pick for another top 5 pick and a player. I am sure there is someone who would pay a lot to get Wieters but the trades you have listed aren't enough.
