I agree with the logic and was leaning in this direction right off the bat ... but then I'm thinking that Wainwright will be expected to be the ace of the St Louis staff and face off against a lot of other aces and St Louis may not be a contender this year so probably less wins. Lester has the benefit of being further down the rotation and will probably face less talented pitchers and has the Boston W factor. Even if Lester has a so-so year I think the Ws will put his ROI above Wainwrights. Wainwright isn't a K man so he needs to make up points elsewhere.... I like both of them but would go with Lester because I think they're pretty even, but the team factor actually tips me towards Lester instead.

All good points about Lester and Wainwright. I personally think Wainwright will take the next step this year and potentially become a top 10 pitcher. Lester on the other hand has exceptional talent, but did log a lot of innings. I am now leaning towards Wainwright. Thanks for the input fellas!

After about week 3, the spot doesn't mean much. Days off, mix the schedule up so a #1 could face a #5.
