3rd baseman

Postby huyett25 » Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:55 pm

Picking 5th in 12 team 4 x 4 mixed league.

My keepers are
Teixeira
Phillips
Uggla
SDrew
Longoria
BJUpton
Holliday
Wood
Lindstrom
Francisco

Was going to take an OF, but their are many to choose from and will probably pick one in 2nd round.

We make lineup changes every week so I usually go with two start pitchers so I feel I can wait till round three to get my first starter.

The players that will be available to me are.

Encarnacion
Figgins
Beltre
Huff
Cantu

Do you Like any of these?

I could also pick Broxton as my fourth closer, but I feel that would be overkill.

I'm stuck. Please help

Why do you need a 3B? You have Evan Longoria. Just draft the best player available.

Yeah take the best player available. You already have a 3B who's a top notch keeper. From this short list I'd go Huff.

Abru Hunter Wells Ibanez are all available but I can get one of them with my second pick. Halladay is out there but hitting is premium in my league. I need a corner and the top two teams do not have a third so I can limit them by grabbing my corner now.

How is hitting premium, give us a rundown of your leagues scoring system.. As far as I am concerned Halladay in the 11th round well that would be my selection. As for the others I would go with Wells for the bat.

With 10 Starting pitchers on a team, I usually start two start pitchers, therefor Halladay would sit some weeks. I do know he is probably the right pick and actually might go there. If I don't choose him, I will probably go Wells. I actually will probably trade the 5th pick for the 8th and a 5th rounder and still get the same guy. THe 5th pick will then go Broxton.

I am hoping that either Pedroia or Soto fall out of the top 4 to me at 5.
