ESPN: min innings pitched?

Postby walkoffblast » Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:35 pm

For some reason I did not see this option when setting up a H2H league on espn to see if it is worth the switch. Do they not have this option? After years of cursing espn.com I switched over my football leage this year and thought it was great and am deciding about baseball. If they do not have the option it is probably a deal breaker which is too bad because everything else looked promising.

I use ESPN and on the whole I like it, but this is probably the thing about it that annoys me the most. To address the lack of an IP minimum we went so far as to add IP as a 6th pitching cat (H2H), which actually hasn't been as bad as you might think, but it's still not ideal. This year they DID add innings limits (minimum and maximum) but they are PER PITCHING SLOT, which apparently includes SP, RP, and P and is extremely confusing and makes absolutely no sense.

I have been playing 19 years and only one time did an owner not make innings pitched (that was 1000 innings). Most leagues use 900 innings. It is such a non-factor, why even be concerned with it?

If you played that long I would assume you were at least vaguely familiar with H2H. In an H2H week the min innings can be important part of league settings.

Minimum IP in a H2H weekly league is not an option on CBS. I've already contacted CBS about it as I was thinking about switching from Yahoo and they confirmed it.
