Who are the best keepers?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Fri Feb 06, 2009 7:30 pm

AL only league, 7 keepers with 3 year contracts per year, 23 man rosters, 10 teams, 5x5 roto style

Which 7 keepers would you rather have? Years left on contract in parentheses.

Markakis(1)
J. Lopez(2)
Thome(1)
Pena(2)
Wells(2)
Shields(1)
Morrow(2)

And with these keepers I would have an extra pick in the 6th round and 7th round.

OR

MCab(1)
Thome(1)
Wells(2)
Pena(2)
Morrow(2)
Shields(1)
G. Floyd(2)

No extra draft picks here.

What do you think and leave your links.

I'd take Mcab's side.

The 6th and 7th round picks would be 13th and 14th round picks in a normal draft, correct? If that is the case, it's not enough to make up for the difference between Cabrera and Markakis.

MCab side for me, you gotta have at least one 1st rounder to compete, unless you have three 2nd rounders - which you don't.
