It seems like every year I ask someone this question and I somehow always end up with this guy on my team as a backup, hoping that he will produce. Usually he does for awhile and then gets hurt.
How do you guys think this guy will do this year. The Nationals really need his offense if they expect to sniff .500 this year.
What round is he worth drafting in?

He will likely go much higher than where I would take him. He is just way too injury prone.

This is the answer. I like him more than most of the 3B that go in rounds 10-20, but I don't like him enough to take him 5+ rds in front of those guys.

It seems like every time I pass up an injury prone guy they end up having a great season...except for Rickie Weeks that is.
Well I think I will do the same as you guys, unless he drops significantly in the draft.

I think it's a bit to early to call him "way to injury prone", I'd leave that for the Weeks and company. His first 2 seasons he played basically every game. Anyways I personally like him this year as most seem to not want to grab him as early. Though this depends somewhat on your league size.

That was me.

There's a caveat to that pick, 9 other 3rd baseman were already off the board by the end of the 6th round, and I didn't want to end up with Kouz.

True.
Although it seems like there are a lot of 3B who end up getting hurt early in their career tend to be gimpy down the road. Maybe it's a coincidence but see: Glaus, Rolens, Chavez, Blalock, etc.
