Edit: I'm struggling to figure out to keep 1,2 or 3 SP's - I like the upside of them all... but Kazmir's consistency (or lack thereof) is frustrating. Although he' s arguably the best long term guy if he can put things together.
McLouth --- Numbers look great, but does he make this team?
Ramirez ---- Versitility... mmmmmmmmmm
Lidge is a little tempting as well...though I dont like to keep closers.
Thanks, I'm finding tihs tough, and need an outside perspective...thanks!
Fairly straight forward for me. I am not a big fan of keeping 2 SP in a 7 keeper league but I just cant find myself holding onto McLouth, did someone say Eric Byrnes. One thing I would never do is hold onto Lidge.

To be completely honest with you I look at this as a no-brainer & here is why. First off, I think McLouth was a 1-hit wonder. Let's see how he well he will perform without Bay & Nady who were the meat of that line-up. Secondly, I think that people are overrating the hell out of Ramirez because his numbers are good for a middle infielder & he is 27 years old which is the prime age for a hitter. Lastly, I think when you are choosing between an elite starter vs an elite closer, you have to go with the starter. Most pitchers you put in the closer role can get saves, just look at Joe Borowski a couple of years back when he saved a ton of games but his numbers were terrible. But when it comes to a starter, you get more bang for your buck.

Thank you for all the responses!
Quite a varried selection. What I was expecting I think, but I'll need to do some tally charts to look for the 'fav's'
Also what I will need to consider is, who is likely to be available for me in round 1/2 of the re-draft. I'm sure the players of mine I drop will be wanted by the other teams

I would keep Haren (no brainer), Billingsly (200k pitcher....roll the dice), and one of Mclouth/Ramirez. I personally would go ahead and take Mclouth just because his numbers were fantastic, and I think Ramirez's numbers will not be worth the difference in position scarcity. You need a SS, but i would wager Tulo, Hardy, and Ramirez will be there at your first pick if need be.
Please return the favor:
