I plan on taking Bourn because theres nothing left in the 10th round and so I plan on taking a chance with him just for SB, but who should I take as my 1B/3B
Kotchman Jacobs Laroche Swisher Lowell Mora Kouzmanoff Andy Laroche
I was leaning towards either Kotchman or Andy Laroche just because I dont think Lowell and Mora will stay healthy in 2009 but wanted to get everyones opinion
I like Kotchman. Swisher might be a decent option depending on where he ends up. I would stay away from the LaRoches. I am also a big fan of Bourn and I think his OBP should rise with more PA. I would say either Kotchman or Bourn.
Is this the best their is? Don't reach for a guy just because you think you need to fill a position or help a category. I have to think there are better SP out there or a nice OF hitter. If I have to pick I guess I would go with Kotchman but again I have to believe there is someone better out their.

C Mccann 1B Chris Davis 2B Utley SS Tulo 3B ???? OF SOriano OF Abreau OF Ethier UTIL Justin Upton UTIL Werth BENCH Wieters
SP J. Weaver SP E. Santana SP J. Johnson SP S. Baker RP Valverde RP BRian WIlson P Buerhle Bench Chris Ray
Here is who is left added to the 1B/3B listed above
2B Polanco 2B Ellis SS Theroit SS Orlando Cabrera OF Conor JAckson OF Nady OF Matsui OF Pierre OF Bourne OF Crisp OF Fred Lewis SP Volstad SP Wolf OF Wellemeyer
Since we only have 5 bench spots I feel I need to concentrate on Offense, so with my last 3 picks I was thinking a 1B/3B, 2B/ss and another OF
Why draft Kotchman? You know exactly what you are getting with the guy, and it has relatively little upside. I would rather take Conor Jackson out of everyone available to play first, and from your initial list, I would choose Jacobs with a gun to my head. What about a guy like Carlos Guillen? I would take some upside guys in the final rounds if I were you.....someone like Volstad, Cameron Maybin, maybe Dexter Fowler....guys who could break out in spring training. If you draft someone like Kotchman, you know there are going to be guys like him available on the waiver wire all year. I think OCab is a good bench guy to have, but it is always hard to draft a guy who isn't currently on a team. Still, he is a good value pick this late. I like Nady on that list as well.
