Quentin for sure with one of your picks, not close. With the other pick I'd probably go for the power/speed combo of granderson, though it kinda sucks that runs don't count.
I'd take Quentin in a heart beat. Avoid Vlad, he's solid but he's deterioating. I like Halladay, Granderson, Mauer for the position scarcity. I'd probably go Quentin and Granderson which would do a great deal for your team. I also agree with the previous poster that I might take Miggy C over A-Rod but that's my own personal preference. Good luck in your league
C= V. Martinez 1B = J. Morneau 2B = 3B= A. Ramirez SS= J. Reyes OF = Bay, Markakis and Kemp SP: Halladay, Webb, Cain, Garza, Weaver, B. Anderson RP: Broxton
Quentin for sure, but I would stay away from Vlad. Granderson, Ordonez, and Mauer are appealing, and personally I would have a hard time letting Chris Davis go; he won't be back around in the 4th or 5th rounds even though it is a slight reach for him at this position. I might would use the position scarcity approach and grab the far-and-above best catcher in Mauer. After him in the AL is V-Mart (Shoppach?), Posada, and Pierzynski; none of which I would be thrilled to own, except maybe if Weiters comes to the majors soon. Mauer would be a huge boost over the competition in the catcher department, but I'm not sure if that would be the most valuable player to draft for your squad in this position. Most likely, I would just draw from a hat between Granderson, Ordonez, and Mauer.
Thanks for the help...I am not sure who to take with my choices for keepers...hard to let Johan go. Anyways, for your curiosity, Max is Max Scherzer from AZ.
As for your decision...I'd say Granderson and either Quentin or Ellsbury.
I like the 5 cat guys and granderson is one and ellsbury does much of everything and gives you some power, but Quentin hits in Cellular field? I think thats the name of the Chi Soxs park...Im more of Cubs fan.
