Which 4? WHIR

Postby ABA316 » Thu Feb 05, 2009 2:30 pm

5 by 5 scoring..positions C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, CI, MI, 4OF, 1 DH.

Keep 4 and lose first 4 draft picks..I've narrowed it down to:

Garrett Atkins
Jason Bay
Chris Davis
Chone Figgins
Evan Longoria
Nick Markakis
Russell Martin
Manny Ramirez
Shane Victorino
Cole Hamels
Dan Haren
Brad Lidge

I'm leaning Bay, Longoria, Markakis, Manny/Shane..I figure I really have to keep Manny unless he doesn't have a deal or look close to one by deadline (about a month out).

Throw back all the pitchers and go with the Offense, this is what wins championships.

It would be nice if you had 4 guys worthy of a round 1 to 4 pick, but since you don't, lets go with 4 guys that could (if you're lucky) return round 1 to 4 numbers in the near future (maybe this yr).

Jason Bay
Chris Davis
Evan Longoria
Nick Markakis

Jason Bay
Evan Longoria
Nick Markakis
Cole Hamels

i'd keep hamels over manny. normally, i like the hitters, but i don't trust manny and hamels is a top 3-4 pitcher.

1. Longoria
2. Markakis
3. Hamels
4. Probably Manny, though I think you could definitely consider Chris Davis.

These 4 for sure, I love Hamels, but you just can't keep him over any of those bats.
