Which 8 to keep? - WHIR

Postby soty » Thu Feb 05, 2009 2:07 pm

Working on a deal right now, but if that doesnt happen which 8 would you keep? Guys I am leaning towards in bold.
R, HR, RBI, SB, TB, AVG, W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP

Miguel Cabrera (Det - 1B,3B)
Chris Davis (Tex - 1B,3B)
Mark DeRosa (Cle - 1B,2B,3B,OF)
Adrian Gonzalez (SD - 1B)
Howie Kendrick (LAA - 2B)
Evan Longoria (TB - 3B)
Ryan Ludwick (StL - OF)
Nick Markakis (Bal - OF)
Carlos Quentin (CWS - OF)
Manny Ramirez (LAD - OF)
Jose Reyes (NYM - SS)
Mark Reynolds (Ari - 3B)
Gavin Floyd (CWS - SP,RP)
Yovani Gallardo (Mil - SP)
Zack Greinke (KC - SP,RP)
Felix Hernandez (Sea - SP)
Brandon Webb (Ari - SP)

I realize Felix Hernandez could be kept, but I usually go with the batter (Manny) over the pitcher (Felix).

I concur, pretty straight forward, although throwing back Davis hurts.

Thanks guys. As for throwing Davis back yeah I agree its tough to do, but Manny is well worth it. ;-D

Davis, Hernandez, and Gallardo are all tough to throw back, but I can't justify keeping them over anyone else listed. I think you've got the right ones in mind.

I would keep Gallardo over Gonzalez especially if your league favors strikeout pitchers.
