you aren't getting lincecum and hamels for holliday. ask for lincecum straight up or take the deal on the table. i'd take zambrano over joba too. the hype on chamberlain as a starter is out of control.

ok hamels or Z for Joba? hes big yanks fan so i think thats they hes going this way. Also Dvauthrin can you evaluate my team and let me know what route youd go and possible trades youd go for to get more depth in places needed. i know im deep at OF so got a little room to better my team

I find it doubtful that they'd do your trade proposal. I would either try and nab Lincecum/Dempster for Holliday or try Holliday for Hamels/Dempster/Jenks. Jenks is a stable closer and you could certainly use one of those. I'm not a believer in Dempster, so if you do that I'd probably turn around and move him for another arm or two possibly, maybe target like Max Scherzer and another promising your starter, or something like that. Good luck.

neither of the trades in the original post are good.... this one won't fly either, two top tier pitchers for holliday? I dont think so, lincecum for holliday straight up is about right.... just depends holliday is a bit of an unknown now that he was traded.

I wouldn't do either of the two original offers. I don't think you'll get Lincecum and Hamels for Holliday, which just seems too steep for the other guy. Holliday for Lincecum sounds fair, straight up, but if you can squeeze in Scherzer instead of Dempster, that's actually quite good for you. If you can't get that, I like the idea of Rios for Hamels.

As far as an assessment on your team goes, GF is spot-on. You have a deep OF and can use a SP.

I would definitely be ok exchanging Holliday for Lincecum. One thing you have on your side is time. I would shop Holliday and Rios a little and see what you can get before making that move. You may be able to get a nice package for Rios and can keep Holliday.

So should i just try and hold onto JOBA hoping he is what their expecting? i hate to trade holliday for linecum as he is best option but just SF is not that great and wont have run support. Think i should try holliday for CC, Johan or a duo of like hamels and cliff lee/dempster/zambrano? or like a hamels and another bat for like cather of 2B, or SS position. wouldnt be hamels cause he doesnt have much there

Offer him Holliday for Lincecum straight up. It's a fair deal for both sides, but I like Lincecum better overall, especially for your team.

Thanks for the help mine.
