I just got convinced to start one up and I must admit, it's pretty crazy. I'm meeting up with old friends from high school and college, which is awesome. I was never into the whole myspace craze (too weird/risky as a teacher), but I'm liking this one. Anyone else have one?

I have a facebook, and am also a teacher. Go to your privacy settings section and lock it up as you please. I used to have it totally blocked to everyone (no one could even add me as a friend unless I added them first), but lately I opened it to anyone in a *college* network.

At a school I used to work at, teachers and coaches would be facebook friends with some of their students

I am on there too. It helps you remember why you lost touch with a lot of old friends.

Apps drive me insane. I have a lot of guilt from ignoring people's requests.

Apps aren't so bad anymore now that they are relegated to another page.

I have one too...here at college its a great way to keep in touch with friends and its helpfull beating boredom too

I went with myspace, it's more popular down south I've heard. But I don't check my page often,

lol thats because facebook started out with people having to go to college and myspace was just for any ol' hick.

I'm not a fan of social networking sites, more or less because I think they're useless. I don't need another thing to organize my friends lists when I have them readily available on AIM, Gmail, and Skype. I do have a Facebook, but I've only used it for testing on any Facebook applications I'm developing and very rarely use it outside of that.

Facebook actually has far more hits per day than myspace.
