I saw Jay-Z on the Blueprint 3 Tour with Jeezy and Trey Songz. Jay-Z was very good I thought, Jeezy was meh, Trey was surprisingly good. I think that should be a great show, I've never seem Em although I'd love to.

I heard his early concerts were awful also and that he's picked it up in the last five years or so.
I'll listen to rap and hip hop in my house, in my car, or at a really small venue, but for some reason I just can't get into seeing it live in a concert setting. I dunno why.

Live hip-hop is very hit-or-miss, but generally the big tours that fill stadiums and stuff aren't very good, in my experience.

FWIW, the Eminem/50 Cent show I mentioned earlier was the only mainstream one that was any good. I've seen LL Cool J (meh because he didn't do much of his early stuff but it wasn't bad), Ludacris (twice...both times the tickets were free and both times he was on stage for 45 minutes and they sucked) and Snoop Dogg which was arguably the worst concert of my life.
I saw Del Tha Funkee Homosapien in Ann Arbor (small venue) which was awesome.
I also saw Lupe Fiasco speak on campus but he never rapped one verse and people were furious even though it was clear he was only coming to speak.....everyone was mad just because he wouldn't even do one song.....I remember thinking that he came on campus to speak about inspiring things yet wouldn't rap even a little because he wasn't getting paid for it. Pretty hypocritical IMO.
