I disagree, I think Votto definitely has more power than Alexei, and while Alexei does have a bit more speed, I think Votto could still steal double digit bases pretty easily. Also Votto will hit for a higher batting average (like .010-.015 higher), and rack up more runs and RBIs than Alexei. If we're ignoring position eligibility, I like Votto between the two for sure.
I would opt for Ortiz and Votto myself. I can see arguments for Ramirez, but with Utley and Hanley for 2B and SS, and a team already capable of swiping a high number of bags, I'd pass on Ramirez. I just see Ramirez floor being lower then Votto's while I think Votto's ceiling is equally high to Ramirez (it's not always about how good you can be, but sometimes conversley now bad can they be). Sure, Ortiz is an injury risk, but if healthy, he's much more valuable than both Votto and Alexei. Keep Ortiz and Votto and sleep easy. Good luck!

No, I disagree, I don't see Votto with more power than Alexei, nor do I see him with a higher BA, nor do I see him with double digit SBs, but that's why we play the game you can have Votto - I'll take the 'Cuban Missile'.
