It says the octuplets that are all over the news belong to a woman who already has 6 kids, of ages 7, 6, 5, 3. and 2 yr old twins. she took fertility treatment and decided against reducing the # of embroyos after pregnancy. although the identity is still not revealed and there is a lot of mystery around this, the story is pretty odd and some things don't make sense to me. for example, it's odd that a woman who already had so many kids need fertility treatment and takes a chance on taking on multiple births at the risk to herself and the babies. and the article mentions she's fairly young and lives with her parents, not mentioning anything about the father, which is pretty weird. it made me question if these kids have a common father or if this woman is just buying sperm and loves having kids and she's gotten out of control!
isn't 14 a lot of kids? do some women get addicted to having their eggs fertilized? it's just mind boggling that 1 young woman put out 14 kids already in times when many couples are having 1 or 2. doesn't 14 kids out of one woman kinda mess up the future gene pool? i'm sure a lot of people are scratching their heads on this one, and i do see why the young woman and her family wants total privacy.
People like this disgust me. Seems very selfish and irresponsible to me. The younger kids are probably going to end up being basically raised by the older kids and there's no way the mother can give them all the time and attention/affection that a child needs/derserves.
She lives with her parents? And there's no husband/boyfriend? And the parents have a big house? ... in Cali-forn-eee-ya? How much does welfare pay for each child?

mentions the family had filed for bankruptcy and had to abandon a house about a yr and a half ago.
it also mentions of people in the medical field stunned by this and such practice was allowed. usually there is some evaluations of the patient, and this won't be allowed to a woman in her mid-30's with already 6 children. the clinic and doctor that did this on the woman are going to get it pretty bad.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
