On the surface i'd say the Edwin side is better. I guess maybe if you start a ton of MI's and it's like a 20 team league that would lend a little more value to Dewitt. Even then though, I think i'd still prefer the Edwin side.

Its a 30 team league. Dewitt will start somewhere. And we start C, 2MI, 2CI, 3OF, DH

and I am more concerned about losing Pearse than Dewitt

Definitely Pearce + DeWitt they're both starting at this stage.

Moskos = junk/waste of roster space.

Wow, in a 30 team league and that many starting positions you probably have to go with the depth of pearce and dewitt. I'm guessing there's lots of completely unproductive roster spots on dudes teams?

yes, a lot of people are searching for FAs to fill spots and contracts are sure to go higher than people want. I have a lot of great MILB guys and min contract guys. (I am the Marlins, I have no payroll haha)

Since its real player numbers and starting spots I try to just compare my team to a real one. Here it is...

POSITION PLAYERS
C:Victor Martinez - 09: $5.7M, 10: $7M Club Option ($.25M buyout)
CI:Blake DeWitt - (Prospect 09-12)
CI:Casey Blake - 09: $5M, 10: $6M, 11: $5.25M, 12: $6M Club Option
MI:Jerry Harriston - 09: $.95M
MI:Ian Kinsler - (Prospect 09-10)
OF:Ryan Spillborges - (Prospect 09-10)
OF:Cameron Maybin (Minor)
OF:Steve Pearce - (Prospect 09-12)
UTIL:Kendry Morales - 09: $.6M, 10: $.7M

PITCHERS
SP:Anibal Sanchez - (Prospect 09-10)
SP:Josh Johnson 09 - 09: $4M, 10: $2M, 11: $2M, 12: $2M
SP:John Sanchez - (Prospect 09-11)
RP:Hong-Chih Kuo - 09: $1M, 10: $2m
RP:Tyler Walker - 09: $1.7M
RP:Joe Beimel ($ TBD)
P:Brandon Morrow - (Prospect 09-11)
P:Eddie Guardado - 09: $1.6M
P:Jose Valverde - 09: $8M

BENCH
BN:Rich Aurillia 09: $3M 10: $2M
BN:Chris Duncan - (Prospect 09-10)
BN:Kenji Johjima 09:$3M 10:$2.5M
BN:Shannon Stewart 09: $4 10: $5
BN:Joel Pineiro 09:$7.5M

Salary Cap Total: 86M
Total Cap Available: 25.24M

Minors
1.Kyle Skipworth (C-FLA)
2.Ryan Lavarnway (C-BOS)
3.Matt Whitney (1B-WAS)
4.Tony Delmonico(SS-LAD)
5.Alvaro Aristy (SS-SD)
6.Carlos Truinfel (SS/3B-SEA)
7.Brandon Jones(OF-ATL)
8.Rafael Rodriguez (OF-SFG)
9.Brian Barton (OF-STL)
10.Desmond Jennings (OF-TB)
11.Corey Brown (OF-OAK)
12.Joe Dickerson (OF-KC)
13.Chris Tillman (P-BALT)
14.Matt Harrison (P-TEX)
15.Curtis Petersen (P-FLA)
16.Edgar Olmos (P-FLA)
17.Matt Latos (P-SD)
18.Brad Hand (P-FLA)
19.David Hernandez (P-Balt)
20.Pete Andrelczyk(P-FLA)
21.Shane Dyer (P-TB)
22.Rick Zagone (P-BAL)
23.Felipe Paulino (P-HOU)
24.Wade LeBlanc (P-SD)
25.Jeff Niemann (P-TB) 09: $1.1M
26.Alejandro de Aza (OF-FLA) 09: $.41M 10: $.41M

So I have most of my roster filled. I am one of the lucky ones. I can try to get someone (I am thinking my big weakness is OF insurance) from free agency.

I also want to package 3-4 guys to one team for a big name so they can field a team and I can improve.
