I asked the owner of the 11th pick in the first round if he wanted to trade it. I offered him my third and sixth round picks along with Pena, Tulo and Wainwright for his 1st and 9 th picks
He came back with his 1st ( 11th overall ) for my 6th round pick this year but next year I give him my 1st round pick and I get his 6th.
I already own the 1st and 3rd picks in he draft. I have the second pick in each of the second and third rounds. Thats the 14th overall and 26th. I don't have a fourth round pick. 12 team keeper.
Here is a list of the top 15 players
Pujols
Reyes
Sizemore
Utley
Holliday
Berkman
Fielder
Howard
Rollins
Soriano
Beltran
Morneau
Roberts
Mauer
Lackey
I would have my pick of 4 of the top 15 players. We can keep players four years from the time they are drafted. These are all players that contracts expired after the 2008 season. I would be nuts not to accept it. Hanley Ramirez will be the best player next year but the rest won't be any where near this strong. Thoughts?

Granderson ? Been offered a fourth round pick for him. I would have to give back a 14 rd pick
Jay Bruce
Soria
Liriano
Price
Tulo ?
Shields
I didn't want to throw to much at you on one page.I don't even know if our commish will approve a deal like this.Maybe wehave o make a gentlemens agreement on next year and I include a couple of decent players to help off set his first pick.

Here are the top 12 players avalible next year.
Brandon Phillips
Hanley Ramirez
Garrett Atkins
Vernon Wells
CC Sabathia
Halladay
Hamels
Haren
Carl Crawford
Papelbon
Stephen Drew
Dan Uggla
There are a few others that could crack this top 12 but barely .
The bottom three teams go in a lottery for the first pick. The next nine go in reverse order of finish. So If I finish in the top three I wll get the 10th 11th or 12 pick.

If that deal will help you land Hanley next year nad make your team awesome for the W this year, go for it.
i know you already have 1b/3b covered, I'd take Utley first I think and then best available player on that list to a position you need. Maybe Sizemore to shore up your OF once and for all.
Or Reyes for your SS.
Give him Tulo.
Get Utley and Reyes iwth your first two picks.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

Hanley will surely go to the owner of the 1st overall pick. I would not have a chance at him . The last place team will be part of the lottery with 10th and 11th place.
I already made the deal to get his 1st pick which is the 11th overall this year. That gives me 1-3-11 in the first round. I have to take Pujols with that first pick. And if Reyes is there with the third pick I will take him. If not I'll grab Sizemore. But you think I should take Utley over Sizemore with the 3rd over all pick ?As I said I'm almost hoping he isn't 100 % to start the season and falls to me at 11 in the first round.

I understand about Pujols, but only take him if you have a spot to play him. It appears you already have that position well covered.

I can use Pujols at CI. I have that still open. Plus we field 15 hitters. Two DH's. One DH can be either a cat/ci /of the other mi/of/dh. We have the standard infield plus MI and CI . I am now trying to work another deal to get an even lower pick in the first round. I'm wondering if I offer somebody Pena, Joe Saunders with the 11th overall pick if I can get the 6th/7th or 8th pick.

10 Pitchers which can be comprised of any combination of starters/relievers
- 15 Batters consisting of:
5 Outfielders/DH's
1 - Catcher
1 - 1st Baseman
1 - 2nd Basemen
1 - Shortstops
1 - 3rd Basemen
2 - Addtl Cor Inf (1B or 3B)
2 - Addtl (C, 2B, or SS)
1 - Utility (any position)
Maybe this explins it better. I messed up the last post
