Huff (1B/OF question)

Late in my draft with 2 OF positions to fill and N.Johnson still undrafted, I'm wondering if I should shift Huff to OF and pick up Johnson to play 1st. I guess I could pick up Nick anyway to play UTIL or sit on the bench for now, but was wondering about moving Huff to OF. It seems he prob. has more value at 1st...

I'll prob. go after Gibbons and Burell as my last two OF, if I don't pick Johnson over Burrell. There is alot of hype on Nick being a rising star, is this his year? What does the switch from the Bombers to the Expos mean for him? Thanks.

I'd say the switch from the Stripes to the Expos has less to do with the lineup that he's in and more to do with him getting to play everyday, from a fantasy perspective. He should be solid this year - he's good, just didn't get to play in NY. GO after Gibbons, Nick, and Burrell if you can, probably in that order.

Thanks. Well, Johnson is gone. So it's looking like Burrell and Gibbons, both of whom I like. Unless anyone thinks one of these guys might be more valuable, or worth taking anyway for 1 of my 4 bench spots:

Ibanez, Hillenbrand 1B/3B, Ortiz, Dunn, Lofton... those I mentioned above.

I'm about to go with Gibs and Pat " the bat is back" Burrell but would love some last minute opinions....

go for ortiz and move huff to OF and then get gibbons and you are set at OF.

then kolb who should be pretty nice, hinske for util, then burrell and chacon for your bench.

Well, I ended up taking your advice against my initial gut feeling.

Having seen your post, I did some research on Ortiz and he seems to be in a position to continue where he left off last season. The reason I hesitated was that I like Huff at first base, but with the addition of Otrtiz I now have the flexibility of playing Huff either at 1B/OF/Util which is nice. Plus, some of the other guys I was considering ought to be around in the next rounds.

Heres my team, lemme know what you think, and thanks for the advice

Just have to fill my util and bench spots, now.
