Has anyone heard whether Stewart will have an everyday job this season or will he be stuck behind atkins at 3rd? I have heard he may move to the OF to replace Holliday...

I am considering trading for him for my 3B slot, but obviously need everyday ab's out of him.

Reports that I've seen, say they would like to have Stewart's bat in the lineup everyday. Your guess is as good as anyone's.

everything that has come out of the rockies organization indicates that they will find stewart an everyday job. in all reality i think they will put him at 2b as long as atkins is on the team and helton is healthy. i know baker/barmes played decent in a platoon last year but i think with the logjam they already have in the OF there isn't much room for stewart especially if fowler breaks camp with the team. he played decent in 10 or so games at 2nd last year that i think they will put him there until helton is injured, then move stewart back to third. if he is 2b eligible and has an everyday job he could be an excellent sleeper with awesome upside.

i already have him in my dynasty league so if you can trade for him i think that would be a wise investment...however temper your offers, don't overpay because worst case scenario he could hit .260 with only 17-20 HR but best case he could hit ..290 with 30 HR.

I covered Stewart in Sleeper of the Week a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the replys fellas (and the article!).

While I am still not completely comfortable with going into my dynasty auction with Ian filling my 3B, I do feel a bit better about it though. The other option arent really impressive though outside of Wright and I dont have the cap room to get him I dont think, so he would probably be my best option as long as he gets 500 AB's

Dude, stewart possesses way more value at 2b than at 3b.

Whats your team now with money left and current player values on team and available?

FA 3B's are Wright, Youk, Huff, Atkins, Figgins, Encarnacion, Kouz to name the ones worth a damn. I am looking at $70 avail cap space....H2H, 5X5. I could use him at 2B as well and maybe target Atkins in the auction for a decent cap #...but if Stewart doesnt get regular PT it doesnt do much for me. Stewart is signed through 2010 for $7 on his current team which would carry over in trade.

go hard after wright and get cheap pitching $1 and other offensive slots you need sleeper options. Make stewart your 2b.

lets see...

greinke and the ilk for 1 would be good for your team.
jurrjens etc.

I dont think I have enough cap room to go after Wright and fill my other holes with decent players (dynasty league, so most younger upside guys are rostered already)...it would probably take $40 to get him the way he gets bid up in my league. My main concern with Ian is that I will swing a deal for him and end up with a guy who only gets 300 ab's
