I have been hearing some reports that Johan Santana has been having arm troubles this spring and might not be ready for the season. You guys know anything?
they said he had some discomfort in his elbow when pitching last week, trainers said that he was just breaking up some scar tissue from the surgery to have bone chips removed and that he is fine.
He felt a twinge in his elbow a couple days back during a bullpen session, better scratch him off your draft list... This is nothing to worry about, he actually said his elbow felt better after the scar tissue broke up.
He had a twinge in his elbow during a bullpen session. A twinge. Can I say that one more time condescendingly? A twinge. Hell, I'd cross him off my draft list completely. Prior has a score achilles, better not draft him. Even worse, Jim Thome, who as actually sustained an injury, instead of an ache, and a one time ache in Santana's case, with that broken finger is probably done for his career.

When it comes to a pitchers arm, a twinge can be a big deal because it can lead to other things. Also, a twinge can mean other things. Sometimes it starts with a twinge, and ends up somewhere else. Prior's sore achilles is nothing compared to this because its his leg. We all know that pitchers make their money with their arm. Its ludicrious to say that we shouldnt be worried. A twinge can mean that he strained a tendon or a ligament or many other things, wake up man.
