In 606 abs Beltran went .284/116/27/124/25

In 453 abs Soriano put up .280/75/29/76/19

Pro-rate Soriano to 606abs and you'd have .280/100/36/101/25

Soriano has averaged 610 abs in his career as a starter.

A quad in 2007, and a slow start or "bad leg" followed by a hbp broken finger kept him out in 2008.

I actually ranked Soriano ahead of Beltran in the early Cafe rankings for the same reasons you stated, but counting the nagging injuries he's had the last couple of seasons, I'd be a bit leery of him. Hence, why I'd take Holliday or Beltran over him. Again, they're so closely valued with Holliday's upside somewhat inhibited in Oakland and Beltran no stranger to the nagging injuries Soriano had.
