Morrow is the somewhat clear cut 1 for me. He has a power arm and the K's will come. If he irons out some of his walk issues he could be a top notch starter in a class well above the rest of the guys. If he doesn't pan out as a starter, he's got stud closer written all over him, I think there is very little risk with this selection and world's of upside, so I'll take the low risk/high reward guy.
Baker is my 2. He's solid and very underrated. I think his k potential is greater then Slowey's, which is why I give him a slight nod over Slowey.
Slowey in the 3rd spot, solid, not spectacular but a pin point accurate starter with solid ratios and ok K numbers.
Jurrjens is 4 not far behind Baker or Slowey. I love that he pitches in the NL and is a big time ground baller.
Young is a wide margin behind these 4. The fact is, his numbers are so grossly inflated by PETCO it's scary to think what happens when the cost cutting Padres ship him out of town. Though I haven't heard his name in any rumors, I would be surprised if they don't shop him for a handful of prospects.
Saunders is mediocre in a good year, and down right awful in a typical year, yuck, no thanks.
And if you don't mind, I'd greatly appreciate some help with mine. Thanks in advance.
